Rates, minimums, and timing
How are rates set and how does billing work?
Rates are hourly and depend on license type, service, location, and shift timing. You receive your rates in writing before any work begins. Overtime, holidays, and shifts booked with less than 24 hours notice are billed at 1.5 times the standard rate. Your supervisor approves timesheets, and we invoice weekly with payment due within 15 days.
Is there a minimum?
Each shift has a 4 hour minimum. Onsite event and clinic teams have a 4 hour minimum per nurse. There is no minimum number of shifts to become a partner.
How fast can you send nurses?
We respond to every request within one business day. Per diem shifts are typically filled with 24 to 48 hours notice when nurses are available, and same day requests are welcome by phone. Contract nurses typically start within one to two weeks after your agreement is signed, depending on onboarding requirements.
Nurses and credentials
How do you verify licenses and credentials?
We verify every nurse’s license directly with the issuing board, never from a copy. Every nurse holds an active license in the state where they work, or a compact license where it applies. We confirm certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS are current and track expiration dates. A credential summary for each nurse is available to you before the first shift.
Do your nurses have background checks?
Yes. Every nurse completes a criminal background check, exclusion list and sanction screening, and reference checks before working with any partner. If your organization requires additional screening, such as fingerprinting for schools, tell us and we will review it with you before the first shift.
Who employs the nurse?
The employment arrangement for each nurse is set out in your written proposal and service agreement. Your organization directs the daily work and provides orientation to your site and policies.
What insurance do you carry?
Certificates of insurance are available on request. Ask your point of contact and we will send current coverage details for your records.
Working together
What if a nurse is not the right fit?
Tell your point of contact. We will talk through what happened and work to send a replacement for your next scheduled shift. If a nurse cannot make a shift, we notify you right away and work to send coverage.
What can your nurses do on the job?
Our nurses work within their license and scope of practice and follow your policies where they fit within that scope. Tasks that require an order, such as IV therapy, injections, and medication administration, are performed only under valid orders from a licensed prescriber. Your organization provides orientation to your site, policies, and documentation system.
What are the contract and cancellation terms?
Per diem partners sign a simple service agreement with no long term commitment. Contracts include dates, rates, and terms in writing and can be ended with 14 days written notice. Please cancel a shift at least 24 hours in advance; shifts cancelled with less notice are billed at the 4 hour minimum.
Which states do you serve?
We provide nurses in the states where our team holds active licenses. Tell us where you need coverage and we will confirm availability. Every nurse holds an active license in the state where they work, or a compact license where it applies.
Can we request the same nurses again?
Yes. Tell us which nurses you would like back and we will schedule them whenever their availability allows.
Still have questions?
